11/24/2008 - St. Louis, MO (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - St. Louis Rams head coach Jim Haslett said in a Monday press conference that he hopes to have running back Steven Jackson and offensive tackle Orlando Pace back for the team's game against the Miami Dolphins on November 30.
Jackson hurt his quadriceps during the October 19 game against Dallas, despite rushing for 160 yards and three touchdowns, then missed the following week's contest against New England. He returned against Arizona on November 2 after being limited in practice and managed just 17 yards on seven carries, but has missed the last three games.
"Jackson ran (Monday) and we think he will be able to start practicing Wednesday," Haslett said. "Again, I am optimistic and I am not really sure. We have said that for the last three or four weeks, but he did look good Saturday (at a workout) and (Monday) when he was running."
For the season, Jackson has 525 yards on 128 carries with four touchdowns and has added 25 catches for 259 yards.
Pace, the top overall pick of the 1997 draft, suffered an MCL injury that was originally supposed to sideline him for 2-to-4 weeks, but Haslett mentioned that he hopes the left tackle will be back on Sunday.
"Pace should start practicing on Wednesday and says he feels good," Haslett said. "Hopefully, we will have him back this week."
Pace has played in all but two games this season -- including missing Sunday's loss to the Bears -- after playing in just nine total games the past two years. The Ohio State product missed just 10 games in his first nine seasons and has been to the Pro Bowl seven times, as well as being a first- team All Pro three times in his career.
